Community

Much like it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a community to change the culture of consumption. This community is comprised of a global ecological family. We invite you to take some time and learn about who is behind R2R.

Ashleigh Morgan: Creative Director

IG LINK: https://www.instagram.com/ash_m_dawson/

BIO: Ashleigh Morgan fell in love with fashion while pursuing her studies, at the age of 17. While others around her were enjoying being young and carefree, Ashleigh was working hard at learning everything she could about the fashion industry and how to stop the overproduction wheel that has been running rampant for too long. At 19 and with a vision, she created Recycle2Riches. Her main goal is to collaborate with amazing and SMART transparent brands around the world. She believes that fast fashion and over consumption is not the way to shop. Ashleigh believes that everything can be used for something and that the earth can help us preserve the future for generations to come.

Andrea Jaramillo: Owner of LATELIER

WEBSITE LINK: https://www.latelier.shop/

BIO: Andrea Jaramillo is a cultural researcher and story-teller based in Los Angeles. Having spent many years living and writing abroad in Colombia and Spain, Andrea wanted to share the stories of the people and places she met, particularly those from her travels in Latin America. From this idea, LATELIER was born.
LATELIER is a storytelling brand aimed to connect traditional and cultural craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic, highlighting each pieces unique story. The first collection was a collaboration with the women of the Kuna tribe in Northern Colombia, who create intricate appliqué textiles, called molas, as a means to pass down their oral history. Working with the women, LATELIER shared their unique history and story through a limited collection of jackets, hand made in Bogota to showcase the mola’s design and story.
Today, Andrea lives and designs from Los Angeles working with artisan groups in Mexico and Colombia to create pieces that promote cultural preservation and connect consumers with LATELIER’s origins. Each piece respects each group's technique and cultural integrity and gives artisans a platform to share their craft with the world.
